The Google Chromecast is simple a video streaming device that connects to your TV by HDMI input. The 3rd Generation was launched in October 2018. While the Chromecast Ultra however was released November 2016. I’ve recently purchased the 3rd Gen Chromecast and I absolutely love it.
With the Chromecast you are able to stream Netflix, Crave TV, YouTube and more. Have Nest security cameras in your home? Monitor them on your TV as well. Also, you can even play games from the Google Play store. With Google Home products too, you can do this all simply with your voice.

Owing the 3rd Gen Chromecast I can say I absolutely love it. Ppersonally doesn’t bother me that there’s no physical remote because I’m fine using my phone. I would recommend purchasing this with a Google Home product if you really want to maximize its use. If that’s not an option, its still great on its own.
